Light Up the Night at Saratoga National Golf Club

As the cars wound their way slowly down the drive at Saratoga National Golf Club the Tattlers just knew it was going to be a night to remember. Right as the event was beginning guests and supporters of Albany Medical Center streamed inside and were welcomed by a champagne reception as they waited to have their photos snapped. Rob Saba and Committee Co-Chair Mark Hogan greeted guests and helped the check in flow run very smoothly. Upstairs guests were spoiled for choice. The ballroom was transformed, full of throngs of partygoers ready for an amazing evening. Out on the balcony, the Tattlers chatted with Honorary Chairs for the event Margie and Michael Rotchford. Margie looked absolutely dazzling in a cobalt blue sequin dress that she topped with a red necklace and red heels that the Tattlers were absolutely in love with. Margie was thrilled to see so many at the event to support the Department of Emergency Medicine at Albany Medical Center, the very large turnout for the event was truly a testament to the importance of this lifeline for emergency and trauma care in our region.

“My husband Michael and I are very proud to serve as Honorary Chairs along with Luann and Vincent Verdile. Lisa Higgins and Mark Hogan do a great job as chairs and the committee is awesome! We are totally humbled to be part of such a great fundraiser.”

Up on the balcony the Tattlers bumped into Cindy and Barry Potoker, Honorary Committee Members Kim and Michael Cantanucci, Terry Lee, the Executive Director of the Saratoga Hospital Foundation, and Colleen and Skip Carlson. Michelle and Ron Riggi were seen mingling on the balcony, and we spotted Honorary Committee Members Melissa Zieker and Traci Jersen both looking gorgeous in pink. Event Steering Committee Members Rachel and Tom Uccellini were there chatting with friends and guests streamed in and out between the amazingly decorated rooms, sampling the lush spreads put on by Prime at Saratoga National.

The party up on the balcony and the ballroom was so much fun that guests would have been just as happy staying up there the whole night, but there was much more in store for everyone in attendance Friday night. As the sun set and it grew dark enough, guests made their way down to the comfortable yet luxe patio to find seats for the fireworks. This year’s display did not disappoint, and there was much applause after the well orchestrated display came to it’s finale.

The Tattlers sat with Rick Partyka and Justin Jordan to enjoy the fireworks and bumped into Fran Dingeman and her gorgeous daughter Erica, member of the Steering Committee after the show. The energy was really high and everyone was ready to keep the celebration going, and the timing was perfect to shift the party into high gear under the tent next to the patio. The New York Players did an impressive job at getting the guests and supporters on the dance floor and it was soon packed with partygoers. Julie Ortiz could be spotted tearing up the dance floor with Steering Committee Member Clover Schwartz and event Co-Chair Lisa Higgins. Clover spoke with the Tattlers and shared her excitement about the event.

“Every year this event grows, it is definitely one of my favorite parties of the summer.”

The atmosphere could not have been more appealing and it was impossible to not get swept onto the floor to enjoy the music. At one point the Tattlers could swear that almost everyone in attendance was on that dance floor at the same time and it was for sure the hottest spot in Saratoga Springs that night. If you haven’t attended this party yet make sure to put it on your calendar for next year, Angelo Mazzone and the entire staff at Prime and Saratoga National Golf Club did an absolutely phenomenal job and the Tattlers can’t wait for next year.

The Tattlers can’t wait to find out how much was raised to support the Department of Emergency Medicine at Albany Medical Center and were so pleased to see the event so well attended. Not just a party this event is a crucial fundraiser to support such a vital necessity in our region. Much kudos from the Tattlers to everyone who worked on the event from the Committee Members and Chairs to the great people at Prime and Saratoga National for a job very well done, a smashing success!
